Dojo

The place or hall where practice takes place is called DOJO.
This word of Japanese origins has Zen connotations and it means sacred place or place of enlightenment. Thus, once in the Dojo, a very respectful attitude must be maintained at all times, paying attention to proper behavior and respect towards other fellow kendoka at all times.
While in the Dojo, vulgar language or careless attitudes aren’t allowed.
